Winter Sports

From December to April we run bus trips from New York to our lodge in Waitsfield, VT for downhill and cross-country skiing and boarding at Sugarbush, Killington, Mad River Glen and Stowe. Check out Miramar’s 2019–20 winter schedule (trip registration links are posted in the calendar about ~30 days before departure).

When the weather warms we’ve still got it going on, with cycling, hiking, paddling and more in New York City, Westchester and Duchess Counties, Long Island, Vermont, and beyond.

Miramar Bus Trips Canceled and Lodge Closed for the Season

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Miramar ski season has also come to a close. Bus trips have been cancelled, prepaid reservations  refunded, and the lodge is closed for off-trip use by members until further notice. Watch this space and our newsletter for further announcements.

Where we Ski and Snowboard

Our favorite mountains in Vermont — Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Killington and Stowe — are a short drive from from the lodge, but when conditions are right we’ve been known to visit Pico Peak, Jay Peak or other local ski areas. Each winter we run a “big trip” too, either to a European resort like Cortina d’Ampezzo,Val d’Isère or Bormio, or to the Rockies for pow-shots at Aspen, Big Sky or Crested Butte. And if there’s a big mid-week snow storm members have been known to bail out of work and head for the hills because, you know, we have our priorities!
