Event Organization, Policy, and Publicity

Any full member may suggest and/or organize events. Before doing so, one should consult the Official Event Policy which emphasizes events should be primarily for the benefit of the Miramar Ski Club, its members, and guests.

Local events (such as: Soccer games, baseball games, ice skating, bar nights, picnics, movie nights, outdoor concerts, etc.) can be suggested through Miramar Local Event Form. These are currently managed by Phil Tang and Belinda Smith who will review events submitted to make sure they comply with our Event Policy and do not compete with other events during that month. Then they make sure it is on the website, on MeetUps, in email blasts, etc. Happy Hour event organizers may want to consult Phil Caracci’s Successful Happy Hour Manual for suggestions.

Publicity for all events (including other non-local events) is eventually requested through Miramar Publicity Request Form – usually by the managers.
